Reginae Carter is opening up about the struggles of being the “single friend.” Below, find out how the actress and social media personality handles her role as an advisor amongst friends.
While having a candid conversation with the ladies of The Real, Reginae discussed how her friends are sometimes taken aback by her quick wit and unfiltered relationship advice. “This is like my biggest problem right now; I’m the single friend,” she explained on the talk show. “You know, the boyfriends don’t like me. They say, ‘We want you to sit down.’”
The 22-year-old beauty later explained that although advising friends is necessary, it is important to take into account their feelings. “You have those friends that you can tell whatever you want to and how you feel about it and they can take it. Y’all be cool the next day. But then it’s the friends that take everything serious and be like ‘Girl stop judging me.’ That’s the ones that got a problem.”
When asked by Loni Love if she often gives unsolicited advice, the influencer openly admitted she does, stating, “I’m a Sagittarius, so I definitely give my advice. If I don’t say it, how will they know?”
Reginae revealed that her input sometimes “backfires.” However, she insists that she’s always coming from a good place. “At the end of the day, they know what type of person I am and they know that it’s all love. I’m not hating on you, I just want better for all of us.”
