‘Tyler Perry’s Sistas’: Andi Makes Promising Moves At Work
We pick up episode five of Tyler Perry’s Sistas right where we left off—Rich confronting Sabrina at her job. The two go back and forth, with Sabrina accusing him of cheating. But let’s be real: he didn’t cheat, and she’s the one who ended things. Still, everyone’s bird-brained behavior continues, and it only gets worse when Penelope shows up. Penny has the audacity to tell Sabrina that what happened between her and Rich was “nothing.” Girl, grief sex is still something. It wasn’t love, but it wasn’t nothing either. These people need therapy. Sabrina, rightfully fed up, kicks them both out of her workplace.
Meanwhile, Andi is back at work pretending she didn’t just survive major trauma. The bright side? It looks like she’s building a massive lawsuit against the shady doctor who caused Karen to lose one of her babies and harmed other women. But let’s be honest—Andi’s gonna need therapy and probably a prescription before she can get that ball rolling. She’s having panic attacks at her desk and whispering “get it together” like what she went through was normal. To make things worse, she gets a message from Robin, who suddenly wants to be with her. Can we please wrap up the Gary saga first? Because he’s still lurking, and that’s never a good sign.
Now to Dani and Tony. Dani is still processing Tony’s impulsive decision to quit Higher Airlines for her. She rightfully calls it out as ridiculous, but Tony shrugs it off—he says he’s financially fine. Let’s hope that’s true, because whatever this relationship is about to become, it’s not looking stable. Dani clearly isn’t as into him as he is into her, and with her pattern of self-sabotage, a breakup seems inevitable. But for now, they’re still hanging on.
Karen, meanwhile, is in the thick of postpartum depression. Her mom and Aaron are doing their best to care for both her and baby Faith, but no one really knows how to help her. Hopefully someone calls a reliable doctor soon, because this isn’t getting better on its own.
In an unexpected twist, Marie Willis makes her grand return. Her godson, Kendrick Waters—a rookie tight end—shows up at the law firm looking for Andi. She’s busy, so Fatima steps in. Marie isn’t thrilled at first (she told him to go to Andi), but she trusts Fatima enough to let it slide. Good thing too, because Kendrick clearly takes a liking to Fatima, especially after she breaks down how shady his contract is.
Now, let’s not forget: Marie played a role in manipulating Hudson into trying to kill Gary. That part hasn’t come up yet, but you can bet it’s coming. Is she also involved in Gary’s disappearance? We’re gonna need answers—and soon.
Zac is also still grieving the loss of his baby, but he’s got people showing up for him. Dani stops by with some weed to help him unwind. He’s wracked with guilt, thinking he’s to blame for Karen’s loss, but Dani talks him down. She reminds him he still has a responsibility—to Fatima, their unborn child, and to Michael.
The episode ends on a hopeful but heartbreaking note. Karen gets out of bed and walks to the kitchen. Her mom is out getting groceries, so it’s just her, Aaron, and the baby. When she asks for water, Aaron steps out to grab a case from his car. While he’s gone, baby Faith starts crying, and Karen tries to psych herself up to pick her up. But she can’t. It’s devastating to watch. She quietly retreats to her room and shuts the door. We’ve got to get Karen out of this dark place—and fast.
