Randy Moss Is Flirting With NFL Return

Veteran wide receiver says he hasn't lost itch to play football again.

Randy Moss is doing NFL analyst work for FOX these days...but he'd rather still be hauling in touchdown passes on the football field.

The all-time great wide receiver made that clear during the Tennessee Titans-St. Louis Rams' preseason game Sunday.

"I have not lost the itch," Moss told FOX co-host Curt Menefee live on the air. "I've been working out with a few guys during the offseason. I have been retired for the last two years, but you never know. That's the love for the game I have inside of me."

Moss last played in 2012, catching 28 passes for 434 yards and three touchdowns for the San Francisco 49ers. He could have seemingly been a good fit for the New England Patriots — for whom he played for from 2007-2010 — but the team acquired veteran wideout Reggie Wayne on Monday.

Still, the 38-year-old Moss could be a fit for the Carolina Panthers or Green Bay Packers, considering each of those teams will likely be without their top receivers this season due to injuries.

"The sky is the limit for me, Curt, so we'll just have to wait and see," Moss said.

In his 14-year NFL career, Moss was a six-time Pro Bowl selection, leading the league in touchdown receptions in five of those seasons and posting 10 years of 1,000 yards-plus receiving. His 15,292 receiving yards rank the third highest in NFL history.
