Lil Wayne Pushes Back 'Tha Carter IV' Release

The highly-anticipated album from Lil Tunechi will now come in August

Fans who are anxiously awaiting Lil Wayne's new album shouldn't make a habit of holding their breath. The release date for Tha Carter IV, which was supposed to be released this month, is being pushed back again. The latest reports say that the album is coming out on August 29, according to Youheardthatnew.com.

According to Mack Maine, the Young Money camp wanted to put the album out on the day Wayne was released from jail, back in November. Though Weezy started recording the album back in 2008, his manager Cortez Bryant said back in September that he was starting from scratch.

Weezy has already released several singles said to be slated for the album, including the energetic “6 Foot, 7 Foot” and melodic “How To Love.”
