This is the boldest we’ve seen the award-winning actresses yet.

Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson continue their reign as two of TV’s leading ladies, with Davis taking home an Emmy for her acting chops in How to Get Away With Murder and Henson nabbing best actress at the Golden Globes for Empire. All that success earned them each a spot in Elle’s 6th annual Women in TV issue and a truly epic makeover for their cover shoots. Actresses Priyanka Chopra, Olivia Wilde, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus each also have their own dedicated covers.

Davis skewes downtown-cool in a suede jacket by Loewe that flaunts some major cleavage, chunky gold earrings and necklace by David Webb. She tops it off with violet lipstick and lets her blown-out Afro fly free. The words natural goddess come to mind, and we could definitely get used to this look.

Ms. Davis, 50, has some choice words for Hollywood, too. “We've been fed a whole slew of lies about women,” she tells the magazine. “If you are anywhere above a size 2, you're not having sex. You don't have sexual thoughts. You may not even have a vagina. And if you're of a certain age, you're off the table."

Henson, on the other hand, is all attitude (just as her alter ego, Cookie!) in a red Marc Jacobs leather jacket adorned with jeweled broaches and zippered accents. A basic T-shirt by Off-White care of Virgil Abloh covers her, um, cookies, and a blinged-out necklace by Bulgari makes her shine even brighter. Yessir, the 45-year-old star’s confidence and sex appeal is palpable.

She chats with the magazine about what makes Cookie Lyon authentic. "It was very important to me that [Cookie Lyon] not be sassy and neck-rollin' and eye-bulgin' and attitude all the time. Everything she does is coming from a place of fighting for her family. That's why she's not a caricature." always gives you the latest fashion and beauty trends, tips and news.
