Babyface's L.A. Mansion Catches Fire

House was "occupied," but no injuries reported.

Firetrucks raced to Kenneth "Babyface" Edwards' L.A. mansion Saturday (Nov. 2) after a blaze broke out in one of the bathrooms, TMZ reports.

An in-home sprinkler system extinguished the fire before responders arrived at the scene, according to a source. Although nothing major was torched in the fire, the home sustained water damage. No injuries were reported.

A rep for the 54-year-old musician/producer could not confirm that he was around at the time, but said the residence was occupied.

The house fire comes just under a month after the music veteran received a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in early October. A co-founder of LaFace records, alongside L.A. Reid, the 10-time Grammy winner, is credited for penning and producing hits for the likes of TLC, Janet Jackson, Madonna and Mariah Carey

His latest project, Love, Marriage, Divorce, is a joint album with Toni Braxton and is due out Nov. 25.
