50 Cent's War Against Empire Continues
50 Cent pulled an old school hip hop move in his beef with Empire by openly firing shots at the show — which some may say shares a lot of qualities with 50's own series Power — on social media.
“EMPIRE is some s**t you should get for free,” he said, referring to the fact that Lee Daniels's hit show airs on network television as compared to pay TV. “Now that power is worth paying for, STARZ premium cable. SAT, 9pm don’t miss it you want to be the only motherf****r that don’t know what’s going on?”
Thankfully, there's room in our DVRs for both shows, so we don't have to choose. And, like Empire, we have plenty more of Power to look forward to: the show was just renewed for a third season after hitting a ratings high for its second season premiere.
