Angel Reese Breaks The Internet Again With Victoria’s Secret Campaign
The offseason has been anything but quiet for Angel Reese. Before she begins her third WNBA season with the Atlanta Dream on May 8–the result of an unexpected trade announced Monday– the 23-year-old forward is making waves in the fashion world as the face of the latest Victoria’s Secret swim and beauty campaign. Shot on the scenic shores of Barbados, which the company dubbed "Bombshell Island" for the project, the campaign introduces the brand’s newest strapless swimwear styles.
Reese, who has quickly become a multi-hyphenate athlete, model, and podcaster, continues to expand her influence beyond the basketball court. This latest collaboration continues her relationship with the iconic brand, following her appearance in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show last October. In an exclusive with Elle, the star expressed her excitement about staying within the modeling industry and building on those "unforgettable experiences."
The Barbados shoot’s aesthetic centers on a "bronze bombshell" vibe, which Reese says aligns perfectly with her personal style. The imagery features the athlete in sun-drenched settings, highlighting both the new swimwear line and the brand's beauty products against the backdrop of the Caribbean sunset. Reese noted that the energy of the shoot was "perfect," aiming for a look that she predicts will once again capture the full attention of social media.
For Reese, the path to building a brand off the court was influenced by the wisdom of her family. "My mom and my grandma always told me basketball is gonna stop one day, so continuing to build my platform was always important," she shared with Elle. "Since I was younger, I’ve always been into fashion. Feel good, look good, play good. That’s always been the mindset for me." She emphasized that being versatile, both in her clothing choices and her style of play, has remained a cornerstone of her identity.
