Back in 2006, it was rumored that Eva Longoria and Beyonce Knowles were supposed to play lesbian lovers in Tipping the Velvet. Those rumors were quickly debunked but now one of the most creditable film sites on the net is stating Beyonce is rumored to play in the movie and the status was last updated May 21, 2009. Water's novel was released in 1998 and placed in the Victorian era -- it's interesting and progressive they want two women of color in the lead roles. Bey wants to be taken seriously as an actress, but I just don't know about her going the lesbian route. She will definitely have to do a full make out scene with Eva -- gone are the days when a straight actors can play gay and not touch the same sex. Then again, the role is a musical role and we all know how Beyonce loves playing singers.  Regardless, I still find it hard for this rumor to be true.\r
