'Diarra From Detroit' - Three Birds, One Greek

In episode six, we meet the Detroit Flamingos and the mysterious Zervas.

Previously, a man who's been tracking Diarra was crushed by a tractor driven by Zervas. We learn more about Zervas and Elias Marshall, the detective assigned to the Brooks case. As he got closer to learning the truth back in '95, his partner was killed. That was his last time working the case.

Diarra is face-to-face with Zervas because he wants to know why she turned up at the rendezvous point. He's also been tracking and researching her. Diarra suspects Deonte witnessed drug smuggling at the mall, and that's why the Greeks abducted him. Zervas insists he wasn't involved since he was at the strip club. More on that later.

Let's briefly check in with the men in Diarra's life

Remember the DJ Mr. Tea hooked up with at the underground kink club where the Russian was shot? The two of them are still carrying on, and the dude won't leave Tea's crib. Tea wants to get rid of him, but Diarra doesn't want to risk the fallout. This DJ, after all, is the one who can place Diarra at the scene of the shooting if Det. Holstein has his way. Swa, meanwhile, places himself as a buffer between the detective and Diarra as her lawyer. He shares this as he interrupts a session between Diarra and Danger, who has been giving Diarra therapeutic massages with a side of silver-dollar pancakes. Danger appears to have a connection to the crew that's pressing Roman, Moni's husband, one of whom met the business end of Zervas's tractor.

'Diarra' Spotlight: Claudia Logan aka Crazy Moni

Going off the story that Zervas was at a strip club during the time of Deonte's abduction, Diarra interviews the crew of dancers— the Detroit Flamingos— who were working then and corroborated Zervas's alibi. When Diarra presses one of them about Zervas's whereabouts when the OJ verdict came down, she learns he was having private time with "Ebony'' when he received calls from the automotive plant seen in the previous episode.

The calls were about a whistleblower who threatened a strike. This was Deonte's father. Diarra meets with Zervas again, saying she figured out that Deonte Sr. was jeopardizing the mob's cash cow. When she demands to know who was calling him that night at the club, Zervas choked to death on the table. The cook who served him had a spider tattooed on his hand!

Diarra runs, and she herself is abducted.

Questions:

What is Danger hiding from Diarra?

If Zervas isn't the actual threat, then who is?

What is all this spider business about?
