Friends in Paris puts a PG filter on the lyrics from the Throne's 2011 Hit-Boy-produced heater. A Kickstarter campaign was started to get the book in print, and reached its goal within three weeks.

“Kanye and Jay Z have one of the most beautiful relationships in rap history," reads the Kickstarter page. "When they released Watch the Throne four years ago, they solidified that friendship with a big, gold-covered, full-length LP that spawned 'N***as in Paris'  a song that went on to be one of the biggest hits of both their careers."

It was only a matter of time before the track got immortalized in book form. "Every club you walk into these days, everybody wants to gloat about how they can rap to N***as in Paris, forming a circle, stepping inside it and letting their friends see their rap chops," the mission statement explains. "Often they get most of the lyrics right, to the surprise of no one who’s heard the radio spin it 4,062 times, but how well do we REALLY know the lyrics? We decided it was about damn time that we broke down the song, made it a little more PG and illustrated it so we could better understand Jay and Ye’s relationship.”

Jay becomes a third wheel in the book, after Kim Kardashian moves in on his quality time with Yeezy (Drake pops up too, as a waiter). The story doesn't go well for Hov until the end. He gets sick and lands at the hospital where Beyoncé gives her diagnosis: “You’re the illest," Dr. Bey tells Jay. "You’re suffering from realness.”

Friends in Paris is a pretty fun read for all ages. Read it in full here.
