Hip-hop’s estranged Chicago rap icon Kanye West ditched his Twitter and Instagram fuming for an official Oval Office rant with none other than his White House-squatting brother-in-narcissism, Donald Trump.
As warned, ‘Ye dashed over to the presidential residence to talk face-to-face with the former reality television star on all things political for the Thursday (October 11) meeting. ‘Ye plopped down across from Trump as a crowded cluster of photographers snapped photos, and he bounced from topics of racism, to police brutality, to mental health, to prison reform to the 13th amendment. The “Violent Crimes” rapper, of course, sported his Make America Great Again Hat for the meeting, too, which he gloated to Trump that it “made [him] feel like Superman” whenever he put it on.
In typical egomaniacal form, Kanye began his long-winded political sermon by first patting himself on the back about his Adidas Yeezy sneakers and supposedly high IQ. He also debunked his own bipolar disorder diagnosis, replacing it with his belief that he suffers from sleep deprivation. Awkwardly, Trump nodded at the speech as ‘Ye driveled away, simply responding with, “I'll tell you what, that was pretty impressive,” after they wrapped up. It goes without saying that everyone who tuned into the White House affair wasn’t so impressed, however. And they’re now ripping Kanye, his bright red cap and everything else Yeezy to smithereens for it.
Try not to scratch your head too hard at some of the quotes and moments viewers caught from the meeting, and see what the internet had to say about the second Kanye and Trump bromance gathering.
When asked about his comments on George W. Bush "hating Black people," Kanye said, "I was very emotional and was programmed to think from a victimized, welfare mentality. Blacks and African-Americans really get caught up in the idea of racism instead of the idea of industry. We want a brand more than we want land because we don't know how it feels to have our own land. We have to bring mobility to the police officers. We have to take responsibility for what we're doing. We kill each other more than police officers. Instead being enforcers [of the law], we have to release the love throughout the entire country. It's the lack of reparations that cause us to label everything as racism."
“It’s habilitation, not rehabilitation, ‘cause we didn’t have the abilities in the first place. We didn’t have anyone to taught us,” mocking standard colloquials often using within the Black culture. “There’s a lot of things affecting our mental health that puts us back into that trap door known as the 13th amendment [that leads] to prison and will have African-Americans end up next to the Unibomber.”
Trump laughed as Kanye mentioned he "married into a family with not a lot of male energy" and, despite loving Hilary Clinton, her campaign, as "a guy without his father," didn't help. Trump also gave him "the heart to go to Adidas and spark the Yeezy effect," he said.
Kanye West wants to make Yeezy factories in Chicago and its surrounding suburbs, so he doesn't get beat out in the retail industry by China and Vietnam, he also shared with Trump. According to him, this would "empower our core because our best export is entertainment and ideas," and if there aren't jobs in America, "we're putting people in positions to have to do illegal things to end up in the cheapest factory ever — the prison system." To make matters worse, he alluded that his bipolar disorder diagnosis may actually be "sleep deprivation."
