Iggy Azalea Talks Being Violated While Crowd Surfing

"Fancy" rapper says that fans have been sexually aggressive during her shows.

Iggy Azalea wants to be clear about her public image after disturbing fan behavior caused the Australian rapper to switch gears on how she approaches crowd surfing at her shows.

During an interview with Hot 97 last week, Azalea gave a graphic breakdown of sexual violation that she's experienced while on the road. "It's funny because we were talking about on my tour, I'm only doing 2,000 cities, but I have to have barriers even if it's only 200 people because people try to finger me," she said.

The "Fancy" rapper wasn't just getting violated in person, she fended off sexual harassment on social media as well. "I will get lurk tweets a week before my show, 'I'm about to go to the Iggy Azalea show and I'm going to finger her,' and I'm like, 'Please don't, because that's a violation,'" explained the 23-year-old rhymer.

Fans may be getting the wrong idea, given Azalea's "P---y" track that put her on the map. Her music doesn't always reflect her real-life mindset, however. "They think I'm really slutty, like, 'Oh she got a song called 'P---y,' I know what she wants. She wants these two fingers.'"

Azalea said she's taken to wearing more clothes during her shows now so that there's "no way she can be intruded."

Her debut studio album, The New Classic, dropped last Tuesday (April 21), and as she continues to tour, she has a message for inappropriate fans: "Buying my album for $12 doesn't mean you get to finger me when I come to your city."

Around this time last year, Danny Brown suffered a similar incident when a fan unexpectedly performed oral sex on him while he was performing. He's since had to create barriers as well, opting for 20 feet between him and the crowd, a decision he's not been happy about making.
