On this week’s episode of the The Real Housewives of Atlanta, the cast got a huge surprise. Phaedra Parks threw a birthday party for Kandi Burruss, and the entertainment included a special performance from a male stripper who goes by the name of Redickulous. No one was more surprised than NeNe Leakes, who walked out of the raunchy performance. Leakes, who revealed a past life as a stripper in her book (Never Make the Same Mistake Twice), has drawn criticism for the move.
During an interview after the show on Watch What Happens Live, Redickulous said that Leakes couldn’t have been too shocked by his performance, because she had seen it several times before. He even said that he had given Leakes a lap dance before, which she denied on Twitter: “I host lots of gay events & introduce whoever they tell me 2! I’ve never had a lap dance from any male stripper!”
Leakes also said she can’t understand why the focus is on her: “Wasn’t it Kandi’s party? Didn’t Phaedra give her the gift? Why r y’all making this about me? For the record! I have the RIGHT 2 leave any event I want 2!...There’s alot of things I use 2 do that I don’t do no mo! It’s called GROWTH. What was really funny! I wasn’t the only 1 to leave but the 1 they all focus on! U damned if u do & damned if u don’t! It’s always my fault.”
