A new interview has surfaced revealing that Prince did more than extend an invite to Paisley Park Chris Brown’s way. In fact, he wanted to mentor him.

In a previously unreleased interview with Rolling Stone, Prince discussed his thoughts on the state of the music industry in its current form and brought up Breezy.

When the reporter mentioned Chris Brown, he said that many people feel as though what Chris Brown did to Rihanna was unforgivable. Prince, in turn, offered words encouraging forgiveness.

“Unforgivable? Goodness,” Prince responded. “That’s when we go check the master, Christ. … Have you ever instantly forgiven somebody? It’s the best feeling in the world, and it totally dismantles that person’s whole stance.”

It’s hard not to smile thinking about Prince offering Chris Brown personal advice.
