Soon after posting his epic response, Trayvon's twitter notifications went through the roof
Many came out in support of Trayvon's words and his makeup skills
Trayvon told Buzzfeed News that he believes people post such hateful things because “they are fragile with their masculinity and they can’t accept the fact men like men, but it’s 2017! Get over it.”
“I am me and the only person who has to deal with me is me,” he told Buzzfeed. “Everyone in my family supports me wholeheartedly. Why are you bringing homophobia and negativity to this area?”
Regardless of the intention of the person who tried to meme Trayvon, the plan backfired and, instead, uplifted Trayvon and his message.
