Guerilla Black was sentenced to more than nine years in prison for credit card fraud Friday (Oct. 25), reports KarenCivil.com.

The 110-month sentence comes less than a year after Black, who became popular for his rap likeness to the late Notorious B.I.G., pleaded guilty to fraud and theft stemming from more than 27,000 stolen credit numbers he bought from a Seattle hacker between January 11, 2011 and February 26, 2012.  

He was arrested last January.

"Today's arrest shows that criminals cannot hide in cyberspace. We will prosecute all parts of the criminal gang — regardless of where they may be," U.S. Attorney Jenny Durkan said after the bust. "I commend the cyber investigators of the Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force for making sure that all the participants — from the hackers to the end purchasers of stolen data — are held accountable."

The computer pirate, David Schrooten, was sentenced to 12 years, while a second culprit, Christopher Schorebel, was slapped with seven years.  

Black, born Charles Tony Williamson, netted a reported $20,000 per month from the international scheme and was facing up to 30 years behind bars.

After he gets out, Black will remain under supervised release for five years.
