On Instagram, prior to the episode’s start, Fly said the point of the episode was definitely to find out how her biological sons had been living their early lives and also to bring awareness to adoption.

However, some speculate the reunion was for television purposes and, had there been no show, there’d be no reunion. In fact, that theory was co-signed by Dutchess, who liked the fan comment, “She did it for show. If wasn’t for the show never would’ve done it.”
