Melania Trump’s Black History Month Tweet Didn’t Go Over Well

Twitter went in with receipts.

Melania Trump decided to tweet about Black History month and got an epic dragging.

“Today marks the first day of #BlackHistoryMonth The month of February is an opportunity for us to come together to reflect on the past and celebrate the successes of the future,” the first lady tweeted this morning (February 1).

  • Knowing how damaging her husbands policies have been to the African-American community and how little people of color make up of his cabinet and administration, Twitter swiftly acted in bringing out the receipts.

  • 2020 isn’t even the first year Melania Trump’s tried to honor Black History Month on Twitter. In fact, she tweeted about it last year and in 2018, labeled the annual historical tradition “African American History Month.”

This is also the same person who stood by Donald Trump's racist birtherism comments about President Barack Obama.
