The latest episode of Sistas picks up in the aftermath of Karen’s maternal health crisis. After returning home from the hospital, her village continues to rally around her—and she’s going to need them. It looks like postpartum depression is starting to set in. Karen experienced a traumatic birth and lost a baby. It's going to take a lot of love and support to help her through this.

And by “difficult,” we mean rough: Karen doesn’t want to do anything except sleep, which means no breastfeeding. That leaves grandma on bottle duty. Karen won’t eat or move around, despite being instructed to. Her healing journey is going to be a tough one.

Meanwhile, Andi heads back to work—where, of course, Hayden is lurking. He offers her a weak apology for Hudson’s attempt on her life and pretends to extend an olive branch. But come on, we know better. Andi isn’t falling for it. What does come out of their conversation, though, is that no one knows where Gary is. And that’s definitely not good.

Zac is also grieving the loss of his baby girl, but Aaron drops by to check on him, and it’s heartwarming to see them bond. Dani and Sabrina both return to work. While there, Sabrina tells Maurice that all of her embryos with Domani are boys. Maurice asks if she’s heard from Rich—and just as she says she never wants to see him again, guess who shows up? That’s right: Rich.

Remember, Dani blocked him, so she hasn’t been in contact. Naturally, he pops up at her job. Maurice gives them space to talk, but it’s far from a productive conversation.

Meanwhile, Dani learns that Tony quit Higher Airlines and won’t be moving to Alaska after all. Why? Because he’d rather be with her.

Back at Sabrina’s office, she’s still arguing with Rich when Penelope shows up, demanding to see Sabrina too. Maurice tries to intercept, but he’s no match—Penelope barges right in and walks straight into the middle of the mess.
