Donna Summer Memorial to Take Place in Nashville

A public ceremony in honor of Donna Summer is set for Wednesday.

The family of Donna Summer has already put the gears in motion on the plans to honor the queen of disco starting with a public memorial next Wednesday in Nashville, reports TMZ.
Originally from Boston, Donna moved her family to Nashville in 1994. Known to many as the "Music City," Nashville was a favorite of hers.
As previously reported, Summer passed away yesterday morning (May 17) in Florida after losing a battle with cancer. Her family released a statement, saying that they "are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy."
The five-time Grammy winner, known for her singles "Last Dance," "Hot Stuff" and "Bad Girls," was the reigning queen of disco from the 1970s to the early 1980s.
Summer was 63 years old.
