The latest episode of Sistas picks up in the aftermath of Karen’s maternal health crisis. When she returns home from the hospital, her village rallies around her — and she’s going to need them. It’s clear postpartum depression is setting in after a traumatic birth that ended in the loss of her baby. Karen just wants to sleep, which means no breastfeeding, leaving grandma on bottle duty. She won’t eat, won’t walk as instructed, and is shutting down completely. Her healing journey is going to be a long one.

Meanwhile, Andi heads back to work and finds Hayden lurking, as usual. He offers an insincere apology for Hudson trying to kill her and pretends to extend an olive branch — but Andi isn’t buying it. The only thing she gets out of the conversation is that no one knows where Gary is, which is… unsettling.

Zac is also grieving the loss of his baby girl, but Aaron stops by to check in, leading to a surprisingly touching moment between the two men. Dani and Sabrina both return to work, but Sabrina gets a bombshell: all her embryos with Domani are boys. Maurice casually asks if she’s heard from Rich, and just as she insists she never wants to see him again, he shows up at her job. (Remember, Dani blocked his number, so there’s been radio silence.) Over in Dani’s world, she learns Tony quit Higher Airlines. He’s not moving to Alaska after all, because he’d rather be with her.

Back at Sabrina’s office, things get even messier. She and Rich are still arguing when Penelope shows up wanting to see Sabrina. Maurice tries to block her, but Penelope pushes through, walking right into the heated scene. And that’s where the chaos cuts off — leaving us waiting until next week to see how it all explodes.
