Sherri Shepherd Responds to Lamar Sally Divorce Papers With Own Filing

Shepherd wants prenup enforced, but not seeking custody of child.

Days after her estranged husband Lamar Sally filed for legal separation, Sherri Shepherd is now filing her own divorce papers, TMZ reports.

The View co-host, 47, and her husband split after three years of marriage, and Sally is seeking full legal and physical custody of the unborn baby they are expecting through a surrogate this July.

Now, Shepherd has responded to the move by filing her own divorce docs in New Jersey, claiming irreconcilable differences. However, Shepherd makes no mention of their expected child in her filings, implying that she will not seek custody of the baby.

When it comes to the estranged couple's prenup, in which Sally, a TV writer, would get $60,000, he wants the prenup "invalidated on grounds of fraud." Unsurprisingly, the talk show host wants it enforced.

"Everyone is in shock," a source tells Us Weekly of the Shepherd and Sally's divorce. "He stopped coming around. She really kept everything quiet." The source adds, "the baby is not something she was ready to discuss at all. She had to have known things weren't going well with Sal so didn't want to say anything."
Shepherd and Sally tied the knot in August 2011. It was the second marriage for Shepherd, who was previously married to Jeff Tarpley, with whom she shares 9-year-old son Jeffrey. Shepherd and Tarpley split after she caught him cheating.
