June Ambrose has made her mark dressing up her celebrity clients in high-end designs, but now she's ready to help the rest of us look fabulous. The stylist just launched her first official fashion collection with HSN, June by June Ambrose, which includes dresses, shoes, handbags and outerwear. In a recent interview with Essence.com, Ambrose shared that the inspiration behind the new line came from a love of vintage glamour and badass attitude.

"The whole collection was like that biker chic chick from the seventies. She's tough but she's still high fashion. You see this bike with lots of chrome and then you see this woman jumping on it with a skirt. It was a lot of street, a lot of grittiness, but then it was all this high fashion toughness."
Mixing "high and low," "punctuation," and "comfort," Ambrose has created a line we can all get behind. Not only does she want us to look good, but feel good in the clothes we're in. After all, confidence is a major ingredient in feeling sexy. This is why Ambrose spent a good portion of her time devising solutions to problems and integrating them into the design, such as with a twist-front knit dress that hides any midsection bulges.
"I stuck to certain things that worked really well....I just upgraded them and gave you a little bit more," she said. "I know I have conscious areas and my stomach is one," Ambrose said. "The average woman doesn't have a Kim Kardashian body so I wanted the DNA of it to have a solution and this is the solution for that. That's what I spent time working on with the technical design team."
