Halle Berry Clears Up Rumors About Marriage To Boyfriend Van Hunt
Halle Berry is reminding everyone that she has a sense of humor.
The legendary actress took to her Instagram account on New Year’s Day to post a picture of her and boyfriend Van Hunt barefoot and in front of what looks like an altar.
“Well… IT’S OFFICIAL,” the 55-year-old wrote, seeming to suggest the two tied the knot to ring in the new year.
In the second picture, she wrote “It’s 2022!” over a close-up selfie of the pair of smiling lovers.
After numerous followers, including many celebs like Octavia Spencer, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Tia, and Tamera Mowry, commented, Berry set the record straight. After one commenter wrote, “It’s official… it’s 2022. Isn’t that what this post is saying?” to which the actress responded, “Yeeesssss!!”
Berry further made it clear that she hadn't jumped the broom as yet by adding a new post on Sunday, in which she captioned, "We were just having some New Year's Day fun! People clearly don't swipe as much as we thought they did. Thank you for the well wishes, tho'. It really touched our hearts!"
She added: “Now it’s OFFICIAL, the internet is no longer undefeated #nomoresipews4me #Januaryfoolsday.”
Berry and Hunt began dating in 2020. In September of that year, she made the relationship Instagram official by posting a picture of herself wearing one of his T-shirts.
