Beychella undoubtedly goes on the list of top Black moments of 2018, so why not commemorate the moment with a look. Beyoncé’s Coachella performance paid homage to HBCU culture with dancers decked out in yellow (and fuchsia for the second weekend) leotards, berets, and white boots. Hit up your local Halloween store to scavenge for a sunny bodysuit if you don’t have one, or Amazon Prime. If all else fails, a yellow top and booty shorts will do, too.

If you have Bey’s golden coils, go for her look. Gold hoodie, denim cut-offs, and boots complete the look. Extra points for showing out with the choreography!

  2. Barbecue Becky

Ah, good ole ‘Barbecue Becky’ was hands down turned into the Blackest meme this year when she called 911 on Black folk just trying to get their BBQ on in what she called “a no-propane zone.” Said Becky was taught a lesson when video of her unnecessary phone call hit Black Twitter and turned it into a whole block party. Needless to say Becky was mad, and we had memes for weeks of the incident!

What you’ll need to be Becky: a hoodie, a phone and shades. Dash around the party ‘calling 911’ on folks for doing things like loitering by the snack table or as guests come in, ask them, “what business do you have here? Do you have proof you belong here?”

  3. The Royal Wedding

We finally got our first Black princess into the royal family ya’ll! Got a white dress? Grab a long veil or make one with white tulle, and some white flowers and just be you, AKA Black. If you know a ginger who can be your Prince Harry then you’re all set.

  4. Nola Darling

Spike Lee’s joint She’s Got To Have It got a Netflix makeover this year, so celebrate by giving yourself a Nola Darling makeover like these ladies did. Cute, no?

  5. Riverdale’s Josie & The Pussycats

The CW’s Riverdale turned Josie And The Pussycats into the ultimate trio of Black teen queens. Get your girls together, let your coils be great, and serve fierce cheetah ‘fits. If you can get your hands on instruments and/or a microphone, then you’re legit.

  6. #SquatBae

This one is super easy! Although you may have to work on your squats because you’ll be hitting this pose all night. All you need is a pale pink blazer, black jeans, hoops, and pink tinted shades. This look works best for short hair, but if your locks are longer just tie them back. Now get to squatting
