Last Friday, March 29, the “SkeeYee” rapper reposted an article on X, formerly Twitter, shared by the parody account, DailyNoud. The false report alleged that Sexyy was “outed as a covert CIA operative according to new leaked documents, which claim she’s been working undercover since 2018 under the codename ‘Agent Bow Wow.’” The article joked that while Sexyy’s “mission” is “classified,” she’s described as “highly destabilizing and culturally critical” by so-called “officials.”

Although some believed the untrue allegations, Sexyy laughed it off, writing, Damn they got me shattt 🥷🏾.”

Later, a longtime fan reacted to the initial post, sharing Sexyy’s old music videos, calling the “CIA agent” and industry plant jokes “funny.” “BUT, i always gotta stand by the authenticity. Sexyy Red been grinding for literal years. Personally i loved that she blew up,” they continued.

As “Vibe” pointed out in 2023, Sexyy’s caught random strays before, with one person accusing her of being promoted to “misguide” Black women. “Makin y’all shake a** misguiding y’all?” she replied.

Sexyy’s come-up was organic, as the St. Louis native has released music since 2018. Her latest mixtape, “In Sexyy We Trust,” dropped last May.
