Mahershala Ali is hoping to win an Academy Award for his incredible performance in Moonlight. Even if he wins, though, it will not be the most exciting news for the actor this weekend. The Academy Award nominee and his wife Amatus Sami-Karim welcomed a baby girl named Bari Najma Ali on Wednesday, he shared on social media.

Win or lose, we can be sure that Ali is going to celebrate a year that has been life-changing, both for his career, and for his growing family. 

Ali took to facebook to share a picture of his young daughter, but his fans are still mostly worried about him winning a much-deserved Academy Award this evening.
