This has to be the biggest fail in Oscar history. It started when the legendary Warren Beatty announced La La Land as the winner of the Best Picture prize, and then dissolved into chaos when, several minutes later, it became clear that a cue card error concealed that the true winner of the night's most prestigious award was, in fact, Moonlight.
The moment was reminiscent of Steve Harvey's flub at Miss Universe — only a billion times worse.
