Mel B Responds to Husband's Request for Emergency Spousal Support: Get a Job!

Stephen Belafonte wants her to cover his clothes, food, housing, etc.

Mel B is putting her food down when it comes to her estranged husband's demands for his food, clothing and cell phone habits to all be covered at her expense.

According to TMZ, Stephen Belafonte is requesting that his soon-to-be ex-wife pay emergency spousal support to him and the Spice Girl is not having it.

Calling his "wish list" ridiculous, Mel B specifies that the $4,300 he is demanding for food and groceries comes down to $140 per day, which she equates to a week's worth of food for a usual family of four.

Also addressing his request for a $2,000 monthly clothing allowance, she says that would not be necessary for her to cover as he took his full wardrobe with him when he moved out of their home. She says the same goes for his request for a monthly amount of $11,000 for housing — she claims he is currently living with friends.

Belafonte is also asking for $750 a month to cover his cell phone bill, which Mel B calls an "exorbitant" amount to foot the bill of one phone.

He also claims that without the emergency spousal support, he'll pretty much be "poor." In response to that, Mel adds that if he is working full-time at popular restaurant Serafina and isn't making any money, he "should get a job at a different restaurant." It should also be noted that by "working there," he means he is a co-owner, along with his estranged wife.
