'True Blood' Star Nelsan Ellis Dies at 39

'True Blood' Star Nelsan Ellis Dies at 39

Hollywood is in shock over his sudden death.

Nelsan Ellis, the actor best known for his starring role on HBO's True Blood,  has tragically died at the age of 39.

"Nelsan has passed away after complications with heart failure," his manager Emily Gerson Saines told THR. "He was a great talent, and his words and presence will be forever missed." He is survived by his grandmother, father, his son, and his eight siblings.

Ellis appeared in many films and TV shows, including The SoloistGet On Up, and Elementary. Fans and celebrities alike have taken to Twitter to voice their sadness over his shocking passing.
