Sterling K. Brown just took home the Emmy Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series Sunday night (September 17) for his depiction of Randall Pearson in the NBC drama This Is Us.
His speech was nearly as good as his acting in the 11-time nominated show.
"Before anything like this happened for your boy, I was a fan. First, last and always a fan," Brown said in beginning his speech. "So, my fellow nominees, I'm a fan of all of you." He then made his thanks humorous.
“Susan Kelechi Watson, It's a pleasure to rep black love with you, sister,” he later said. “Let’s keep doing it like Martin and Gina."
Brown beat out Anthony Hopkins from Westworld, Bob Odenkirk from Better Call Saul, Matthew Rhys from The Americans, Liev Schreiber from Ray Donovan, Kevin Spacey from House of Cards and This Is Us co-star Milo Ventimiglia.
