Michael B. Jordan Admits Backlash Over His Love Life Makes Him Want To Hide Who He’s Dating
Michael B. Jordan is setting the record straight about longstanding rumors that he does not date Black women. The Farenheit 451 actor recently opened up about the rumors and the impact they've had on him.
Jordan, who claimed the rumors couldn't be "further from the truth," discussed the controversy in his cover story with ESSENCE.
Dishing on the rumors and how his loved ones reacted, he said, "It's so funny to everybody because it couldn't be further from the truth. My dad and my mom both said, 'If they only knew.' If they only knew. And that's the thing that keeps me not tripping about it, you know what I mean."
Fully aware of the rumors and the outrage from it, MBJ dished on how it messed with him mentally. “It makes me hesitant about whoever I’m seen with... I’m finally starting to get to a place now where I don’t care, but it bothered me for a minute."
Shutting the rumors down once and for all, Michael B. Jordan said, "I’ve been around the world, I love a lot of different people. I love my people. For anybody to question my love for Black women is preposterous."
Back in 2015, social media took Michael B Jordan saying, "People can like one another, not necessarily from the same history or culture or whatever the f**k it is. It’s just the new world, you know what I mean," during a GQ interview as the actor justifying not dating Black women.
