Kurupt's Wife Accuses Him Of Leaving Her After Learning She Was Diagnosed With Cancer

She wants him to pay up.

Rapper Kurupt is currently in the middle of a nasty divorce with his estranged wife, Jovan Brown.

Things reportedly took a turn for the worse when Brown claimed the Dogg Pound rap icon chose to leave her immediately after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

According to The Blast, legal documents state that Brown is currently trying to get Kurupt to pay spousal support he reportedly owes. She further added that since her diagnosis, he has refused to cover her medical bills and living expenses.

"Our separation definitely hurt, as I could not understand how after 17 years, he abruptly left me in my time of need when I needed his support and love the most," the documents read, according to the site.

She shared more on his reportedly disgusting reaction to her requesting his assistance, following her diagnosis.

"Before [Kurupt] left our relationship, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer," she wrote. "Although I earned a salary prior to separation and [he] knew I needed the money, when I asked [Kurupt] to assist me with my treatment, he responded, 'go get a regular job' and I should 'get a boyfriend to help me pay for my treatments.'"

Brown also mentioned that when she and the now hip hop legend first met, he was broke and lived in homes which his mother rented. She further added that the two of them struggled for years to make ends meet, with her handling the behind-the-scenes matters while her husband was in the public eye.

On top of her traumatic illness, she claims Kurupt informed her that he had a new life with another woman and was shifting his focus onto providing for his new family.

Due to being in a financial bind, Brown claims she was forced to sell all of her jewelry, including her wedding rings to cover her living expenses.

She is currently seeking $14,000 a month in spousal support, $40,000 in attorney's fees and a 50 percent stake of ownership in every company she reportedly managed on her husband's behalf.

A hearing is scheduled for July.
