Bill Cosby’s Expected Prison Sentence Is Truly Shocking

Twitter has a lot to say.

A sentencing hearing for disgraced comedian Bill Cosby was set to commence earlier today (Sept 24), but it was delayed.

While the comedian remained free for another day, new details about his sentencing have emerged.

According to CNN, Cosby, who originally faced up to 30 years in prison, now faces a maximum of 10 years after being found guilty of three counts of sexual assault.

The news network revealed that an agreement created between the prosecution and Cosby's defense team consolidated the 10 year sentence each of the three charges carried inton one 10 year sentence.

The prosecution reportedly insisted that Cosby received a five to 10 year sentence because he showed "no remorse" for sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.

Despite refusing to undergo an evaluation, an expert brought on by the prosecution deemed the disgraced comedian a "sexually violent predator" due to a mental disorder that reportedly involves urges toward women unable to give consent.

In April 2018, Cosby was convicted of three counts of aggravated indecent assault for the 2004 drugging and sexual assault of Constand.

  • As expected, social media had a lot to say about Cosby's impending prison sentence.

  • There were some commenters even calling for leniency on behalf of the 81-year-old comedian.
