Gabrielle Union celebrated her 46th birthday with a huge '90s bday bash.
While fans were excited to see her dressed up as Gwen Stefani from her 1990s No Doubt era, the Being Mary Jane actress left racist Twitter users up in arms accusing her of cultural appropriation and reverse racism.
... dressed in a blonde pompadour-styled wig, a cropped shirt that read "Gwen," plaid, zipper covered pants and combat boots, it was clear who Union's inspo was.
Due to NBC's recent removal of Megan Kelly after her controversial comments on blackface, racist Twitter users immediately cried foul.

So it's ok for Gabrielle Union to dress as Gwen Stefani a white girl? But it's not ok for Meghan Kelly to dress as Diana Ross? Can I just say double standard and pure racism towards Meghan Kelly?
LIBERALS must believe Blacks are inferior to Whites. Gabrielle Union lauded for dressing as Gwen Stefani Megan Kelly fired for supporting White dressed as Diana Ross.*******INSANITY

White hair wig, close enough to White face #DoubleStandard. If you don’t want Black face do not and I repeat do not do White face!

So didn't Megan Kelly just get fired for saying black face and white face were okay if you were dressing up as a person? Crazy time... Susan

She even had a surprise performance from '90s rap legend Lil Kim.
