Marlon Wayans Shares A Story About Eddie Murphy’s Kindness That Will Leave You In Tears

There’s more to the superstar comedian than meets the eye.

Marlon Wayans has had an extensively successful career as a actor, comedian and film writer, but a long time ago, he was just a kid living in the projects.

It’s those humble beginnings that Wayans says made him who he is, and he recently recalled how one childhood experience changed him forever.

After having a holiday dinner with Eddie Murphy, Tiffany Haddish and Dave Chappelle, Wayans posted on Instagram how the first of those names made a profound impact on him when he was just nine years old.

“I’ve known this man since i was like 9 years old,” Marlon captioned under a pic of him and Murphy. “I remember he came to my projects. He let me and my brother Shawn talk about his cow skin pants (which by the way cost more than everything in our entire apartment… including us). He sat there laughing and joking as my nephew @craigwayans kept punching on him. He gave us all autographs and write to Craig “when you get older I’m gonna punch you in the face”.

“Someone caught wind that Eddie Murphy was in our apartment Everyone in the projects was lined up outside our door,” he continued. “We walked Eddie to the car and Sean and I was waving to everybody saying “no autographs”. That was the first day I ever felt famous. Love Eddie Murphy forever always a big brother, a friend and a The GOAT.”

Wow. What an incredible story. Marlon Wayans also posted a pic from his comedy legends dinner and the caption, “How was your Xmas? I guess mine was okay... we laughed all night long. Great times.”

Sheesh. The flexing is hard out here.
