Kevin Hart Was Confronted About His Homophobic Comments On ‘Good Morning America,’ And Things Got Awkward

Michael Strahan called him out for dodging his questions.

Kevin Hart, who is currently on the promo trail for his forthcoming film, recently stopped by Good Morning America where he chatted with Michael Strahan about the mountain of controversy that has been surrounding him over the past month and some change.

During the sit-down, he reassured everyone that he is now done speaking on the scandal regarding his past homophobic remarks and noticeably shared an awkward exchange with Strahan when the motives behind his anti-LGBT tweets were introduced.

When asked to, once again, address the issue that remains a trending topic on social media, the comedian dodged most of Strahan's questions by repeatedly saying he is "done with it."

"I'm done with it, it gets no more energy from me," he said. "I'm over that. I'm over the moment."

After repeating that sentiment over and over, to the point of an awkward silence ensuing between the two, he elaborated that he is secure in the fact that his apology may not suffice for many who found his comments to be offensive.

"If [the apology] is accepted, great," he said. "If it's not, it's nothing I can control. Some things are left out of your hands, so, I'm done with it."

Strahan then made a point to highlight to Hart that it was obvious that he was purposefully diverting from answering his questions directly.

"I know you hear my questions," Strahan told the comic. "You're dodging me."

Take a look at the full interview, below, where Hart also officially declares why he will definitely not be hosting the 2019 Academy Awards.
