Lena Waithe filled in for Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday's episode of his late-night talk show and got a little bit more than she bargained for.

With her new temporary gig, the Emmy winner brought a few of her Hollywood peers on as guests, but it was Halle Berry's appearance that has everyone talking.

After pressing the "Berry Button" to initiate the Oscar winner's entrance, Waithe asked Berry to help hype her up for her late night gig. "I need some inspiration, OK?" she said. "Like that Oscars speech you gave [in 2002], it got me hyped, OK? I need you to give me some of that Halle Berry juice!"

Berry followed through by giving her some fierce encouragement for the night ahead. "I know that you are a force of nature," she said. "You are a beautiful African-American queen going after everything that is hers! And, Lena, tonight you are a writer, an actor, a producer, and tonight you are a late-night comedian and you're about to slay!"

After that spirited pep talk, Berry thought Waithe needed "something else" and gave the guest host a massive kiss on the lips.

"Now you're good!" she said.
