O.J. Simpson Joins Twitter And Says He’s ‘Got A Little Getting Even To Do’

He joins social media two days after the 25th anniversary of the murders.

OJ Simpson officially announced he’s joining the Twitter community, and if his first tweet is any indication, he’s not holding anything about his past back.

Creating the handle @TheRealOJ31, the former Buffalo Bills running back, who was accused and acquitted of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman, kicked off his Twitter party with a message for the world.

"Hey Twitter world, this is yours truly. Coming soon to Twitter, you'll get to read all my thoughts and opinions on just about everything," said the 71-year-old Simpson, who was recently released from prison after serving nine years. "It should be a lot of fun. I've got a little getting even to do."

  • The account’s location is tagged as Las Vegas and is authentic, according to O.J.’s attorney, Malcolm LaVergne. "Mr. Simpson is the most positive person I've ever met," LaVergne told CNN. "He's also very well informed on current events. He will not be negative. Nor will he comment on the LA thing. It will be one of the best accounts on Twitter to follow."

Currently, O.J.’s page contains a grainy profile pic of him in a suit and a banner photo of his Buffalo Bills Number 32 jersey and helmet. His bio reads simply, “If you don’t see it here, I didn’t say it.”

O.J. Simpson coincidentally joins Twitter just two days after the 25th anniversary of the double murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. He was infamously tried over the killings, pleaded not guilty, and would eventually be criminally acquitted in 1995.
