John Legend was officially named 2019's Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine on Tuesday evening, and no one is more excited about the honor that his wife, Chrissy Teigen.
After the news was announced, the "Green Light" singer took to Instagram to thank the publication for choosing him, while hilariously comparing himself to 2018's honoree Idris Elba.
"1995 John would be very perplexed to be following 2018 @IdrisElba as #SexiestManAlive," he tweeted, along with a side-by-side photo of a smoldering Elba and a younger, seemingly adolescent Legend. "Hell, 2019 John is about as equally perplexed but thank you @People for finding me sexy. I'll take it."
Teigen, 33, wasted no time gloating about her hubby's latest accomplishment on Twitter, saying that she's now fulfilled her goal of having slept with the man lucky enough to earn the honor.
"My secret is out," she wrote. "I have fulfilled my dream of having boned @people's sexiest man alive!! an honor!!!!!!"
She even boasted that the 2019 Sexiest Man Live made her a ham sandwich after the news went public:

Teigen also added that she "cannot WAIT for people to get mad about John being the sexiest man alive."
