Rappers' Responses to J. Cole's 'Everybody Dies' Continue to Roll In

Oh, there's more.

J. Cole handed out no cut cards after dropping the lyrical extermination track better known as “Everybody Dies.”

And after extensive deliberation on each individual he aimed loaded clips at on the track, there’s still a little controversy over who exactly Cole might have been referring to in one of the song’s most infamous lines: “Especially the amateur eight-week rappers, Lil' whatever — just another short bus rapper.”

Well, it didn’t take a rocket scientist to narrow it down to two millennial rappers who could be on the receiving end of the shade.

Enter Lil Yachty and Lil Uzi Vert

While both rappers have designated their rap monikers with "Lil" affixes, their responses to the shade was nothing short of aware. Taking to Twitter in typical millennial rapper fashion, the vivacious, purple-haired Uzi Vert absorbed the track as nothing more than another challenge of friendly hip-hop competition.

"Heard some beautiful s**t today," he wrote in the tweet, tagging Cole and tacking on a devil-faced emoji.

Yachty, however, was seemingly unbothered by the shout-out. In fact, he questioned whether or not the Dreamville founder was even referring to him, seeing as though "he's not little" in terms of size.

"It was cool," he said. "I don't listen to J. Cole." He went on to explain that he listened to the track only because news of the alleged diss was "flooding" his timeline. "I listened to it and he said 'little,' and I'm not 'little.' My name has 'little' in it."

That's one way to put it, we guess.

Check out Lil Uzi Vert's cheerful response and Yachty's sentiments in the video below.
