Florida rapper XXXTENTACION is back from behind the bars of Broward County jail and Miami’s 103.5 The Beat has slid him in for his first interview following his release.
But even though he’s fresh out of the slammer, he’s also hot on some slamming commentary for Drake and his More Life single, “KMT.”
In the interview, the 19-year-old recalled the entire ordeal, claiming that Drake rang up a DJ that XXXTENTACION affiliates himself with. According to that DJ, Drizzy was also supposed to call up X’s manager, which X said initially excited him because he had a lot of reverence for Drake as the G.O.A.T. However, the supposed call to X’s manager never happened and shortly after a friend called X while he was incarcerated and let him take a listen to “KMT” after fans had already exploded about its sharp comparison to X’s “Look At Me!” flow.
“They put his verse on my song, and the cadence is literally just as the same tempo,” he said. “It’s not off beat at all.”
Now that the album is out, X didn't sugarcoat where he currently stands with the OVO head.
“I still think Drake’s a f**k n***a,” he said. “I think he’s not a man. I think he’s a b***h, that’s a b***h move. Especially when I was in jail facing life, you get what I’m saying? If Drake would have came to my bond hearing, that would have made my f**king day. If he would have showed that he’s a hospitable person and that he’s really in this s**t for the culture, rather than being a f**k n***a, taking my s**t and running off with it and then putting it on his album, then he would have got my kudos, he would have got my respect.”
X even said that had Drake not went about the matter in which he did, he would have allowed him onto a remix and given him 100 percent of the royalties for it, too.
“I would have done it. Because I know I could have maintained, and I would have appreciated him for being a real n***a. But Drake not a real n***a.”
As for what he plans to do about Drizzy biting his flow, X said he’s “going to make the world hate him.”
“I’m gonna be the villain. I’m gonna make this whole thing crumble. I’m gonna ruin everything for everybody.”
Yikes, looks like Drizzy just racked up another rap rival for 2017.
