Among all of the events that took place before Sunday’s (June 25) BET Awards, newly emerging details of the weekend’s brawl with a physically attacked Safaree and an involvement-denying Meek Mill is still buzzing loudly through the grapevine.

The latest of those details, according to TMZ, alleges a warning memo from Meek to Safaree that might have prevented it all. 

The site reports that the MMG emcee’s clique sent a threatening message to Safaree just days before BET Awards weekend events were underway, warning him to steer clear or suffer the consequences.

The reported threat apparently must not have been intimidating enough, and Safaree still popped up at the festivities anyway. TMZ additionally reports, however, that their most obvious common denominator, Nicki Minaj, isn’t quite the tipping point of their feud — anymore. Beneath the radar, their beef became rawer even after Meek and Nicki’s split as choice words continued to be exchanged.

Despite Meek’s brushing off of the scuffle, let’s just hope both men keep from crossing paths for good from here on out.
