Drake Finally Confirms He Has A Son On These Three New Songs

The OVO Sound leader has a pretty good reason why we haven't seen him yet, too...

For Scorpion, Drake’s long-awaited fifth studio album, the OVO Sound black-belt hip-hop talent laid bare the closeted pieces of his soul, his selfhood and his secrets in 25 tracks—including the most anticipated secret of them all: his now-revealed son.

The paternal confidential information first became collateral damage in Drizzy’s one-on-one rap warfare with G.O.O.D Music emcee Pusha T, who exposed Drizzy’s fatherhood in “The Story of Adidion” diss track against him. But Drake fans know better than to underestimate his knack for turning lemons into lemonade, which he accomplished in three records on the new project where he intimately addressed details of not only his son, but his relationship with the mother of his child as well. As rap’s R&B-hip-hop mastermind of emotions, it goes without saying that he did so with only the most sentimental of lyrics while sharing his innermost fears and feelings of new fatherhood.

Now, fans are streaming tracks, tears and tea from Drake’s two-disc revelatory testament of 2018, Scorpion.

See their reactions to Drizzy’s father-son revelation and the standout lyrics of his parental acceptance in "Emotionless," "8 Out Of 10" and "March 14" below.

  1. Emotionless

    • I wasn't hidin' my kid from the world/
I was hidin' the world from my kid/
From empty souls who just wake up and looked to debate/
Until you starin' at your seed, you can never relate

  2. 8 out of 10

    • Never a matter of could I or should I/ Kiss my son on the forehead, then kiss your ass goodbye

  3. March 14

    • Yesterday morning was crazy/
I had to come to terms with the fact that it's not a maybe/
That shit is in stone, sealed and signed/
She not my lover like Billie Jean but the kid is mine

    • Sandi used to tell me all it takes is one time, and all it took was one time/
Shit, we only met two times, two times/
And both times were nothing like the new times/
      Now it's rough times/
I'm out here on front lines just trying to make sure that I see him sometimes

    • It's breaking my spirit/
Single father, I hate when I hear it/
I used to challenge my parents on every album/
Now I'm embarrassed to tell them I ended up as a co-parent
      Always promised the family unit/
I wanted it to be different because I've been through it

    • I don't want you worry about whose house you live at/
Or who loves you more, or who's not there/
Who did what to who 'fore you got here

    • Realize I got to think for two now, I gotta make it, I better make it/
      I promise if I'm not dead then I'm dedicated/
This the first positive DNA we ever celebrated/
I can't forget the looks on they faces/
Got the news in Miami that we all now got ones that we raisin'

    • I only met you one time, introduced you to Saint Nick/
I think he must've brought you like twenty gifts/
Your mother say you growing so fast that they don't even really fit

    • October baby for irony sake, of course/
I got this 11 tatted for somebody, now it's yours/
And believe me, I can't wait to get a hunnid more/
Sorry I'm venting, tryna cover ground/
They said that in two weeks you're supposed to come in town/
Hopefully by the time you hear this me and your mother will have come around/
Instead of always cutting each other down
