Fans Believe K. Michelle Threw Major Shade At Amber Rose In This Interview...

It all came from a simple Slut Walk statement.

Before returning to her Love & Hip Hop Atlanta television stomping grounds, Memphis-bred R&B songstress K. Michelle has kept a respectable distance from the VH1 series franchise.

Shifting her focus to her own reality show and her music, K also left behind a few of her ATL castmates that she didn’t see eye to eye with on the show, too. But her first priority, her now-14-year-old son, Chase, was a huge part of these decisions as well, and as any good mother does, she had concerns about how her Hollywood representation might affect him. K spoke to that in a recent interview, but might have unintentionally tossed a little shade that Amber Rose’s Slut Walk fans have apparently caught as well.

  • In the interview, she admits that gossip only gets to her when it gets to her teenage son first…

“When it comes to rumors, the ones that affect me the most are the ones that my son has to hear about me with other men and other things,” she said. “I’ve never been a real hoe—you know, I do not attend the Slut Walk.”

  • After ‘The Shade Room’ reposted a clip from K’s interview, posing the question on whether or not she was sending shade, fans had a lot to say

From the comments section, it appears that most people believed that she was, but probably inadvertently. “Why y’all so quick to be mad at her if she throw shade but when half of y’all favorite celebrity’s be throwing y’all don’t say nothing about that?” one Instagrammer wrote. “I didn’t see nothing wrong with what she said.” Another person pointed out that even if she was shading the Slut Walk founder, it’s her opinion that she’s allowed to have. “Good for her,” another Instagram user commented. “Everybody isn’t down with that amber rose bs.”

Others weren’t so welcoming. One fan wrote that the suspected shade doesn’t come off fairly from someone who's so big on womanism. “How does she preach women empowerment, but shading Amber Rose for practicing feminism?” the fan responded. “Oh noooooooooo K,” said another. “You didn’t have to go there!”

To be fair, K doesn’t point out any specific person to turn her nose up at. But, as we’ve seen plenty of times from the Rebellious Soul singer, it’s no surprise that she didn’t hold her tongue on her true feelings in the statement either.
