The Young Money first lady dove headfirst into her claims that she admitted she withheld for the sake of the Bronx femcee and her folks—namely Cardi’s little sister, Hennessy. In light of the allegations that Hen made over the weekend, accusing her and Rah Ali of leaking Cardi’s number to the Barbz and inciting harassment and death threats, the “Good Form” rapper took to her Apple Music platform to share her side of things.
And as promised in her signature Queen Radio fashion, Nicki got into some thangs.
The initial claim from Bardi’s team about the virally memed knot that popped up on Cardi’s temple amid the physical brawl held that security accidentally elbowed her while trying to stop the fight. As Nicki’s memory (and camera footage) remembers it, however, it was Rah who threw at least 10 punches that resulted in the painful injury. Nicki said that she told Rah never to tell anyone, however, because she was certain someone would attempt to sue Nicki for it.
“Rah beat you so bad that I was mad at Rah,” Nicki aired out. “I’m talking about the punches were so hard in your head that I was mad at Rah… The hardest punches you ever heard in your life.”
And that explains why Cardi allegedly reached for his camera, too, the Queen femcee added. “I don’t wanna put the footage out,” she said. “I have the footage! And I’m sure that building has the footage too!... “We have you on camera trying to take my cameraman’s camera. There’s a reason why you wanted that footage babe. There’s a reason.”
Nicki assured that she wouldn’t expose that footage either. But from what she witnessed, Nicki knew that Rah did the damage. “As soon as Rah let your head up, I saw the knot on your head,” Nicki said. Besides, Nicki said, if security really were the culprits who put the knot there, she’s sure that Cardi would have had them handled considering that they were all men.
Nicki also recollected a few moments pre-NYFW fracas where she made several claims of the “behind-the-scenes” secrets Cardi often speaks of. For beginners, she said she turned down Cardi’s request to be on her second single. She also claims that Cardi even met her at a hotel where she accused Nicki of taking shots at her on the London On Da Track, 21 Savage, Offset and Nicki collaboration, “No Flag.” According to her, that’s why Offset wasn’t in the video.
“Now you know the truth—your big sister came home and lied to you. Now what?”
