Monica Revealed Her New Career As A Mortician And Fans Are Giving Her A Standing Ovation

"Truth is, you don't have to trade..."

Atlanta-bred singer Monica has made to clear for years that singing isn't the only way to secure her coin. Die-hard fans of the "Miss Thang" soulstress know that, but a few others just realized that off-stage Monica has a lot going on. Recently, she became a familiar face on T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle. The R&B legend stated, "in addition to being a mom, an entrepreneur, and singer," she's also a mortician at her uncle Gus Thornhill's funeral home.

Her cousin Roderick asked her why would she "trade" her Hollywood lifestyle for what most would consider a downgrade, but she loves it.

  • "Truth is, you don't have to trade... If it's something that you love and that you're passionate about, why should I not..." Monica bluntly replied

According to tweets (below), this has been her side hustle "for YEARS," but kept it under wraps because "I take what I’m doing seriously & wanted to focus on learning." Funny enough, she gets called in because those in her profession say she has "the eye," meaning the ability to capture one's living essence in their deceased corpse.

  • Fans praised the "Angel Of Mine" soulstress for making the "jack of all trades" mantra seem effortless
