Tamar Braxton And Loni Love’s Frenemy Drama Just Turned Into All-Out War

The singer posted screenshots calling out the comedian for comments made on TV.

So much for friendly fire. It seems as if the tit-for-tat between Tamar Braxton and the hosts of The Real — which went down on daytime TV today (September 19) — may have blown up into something bigger than anybody expected. For context, Braxton was controversially fired from The Real three years ago, amid rumors that her co-hosts Loni Love, Jeannie Mai, Tamera Mowry-Housley and Adrienne Bailon conspired to have her axed from the talk show.

Braxton appeared on The Wendy Williams Show Wednesday morning, where she was asked if she’d ever return to the Emmy Award winning talk show to talk things out with her former co-hosts. The “Love and War” singer said she’d decline an invitation to return as a guest, saying there were “catty” people operating behind her back.

The comment didn’t go unnoticed by its target. During their own broadcast shortly after, The Real co-host Loni Love addressed Braxton’s interview by inviting her on the show to close the chapter. The invitation came with a fair bit of shade, though.

“I just want to be... full disclosure, it's been three years. I don't know why you guys keep talking about this whole situation,” said Love. “Tamar Braxton gave us an apology [this summer] for everything that happened, which these girls at this table had no issue of doing. Since then, that apology has been taken down. I, in my humble opinion of trying to be the strong Black woman, invited her to come on to the show for season six. It was a simple, public ask. I did try to call her privately. I've been texting her. I get no response.”

And that’s when the gloves came off. Braxton responded to Love’s remarks on Instagram, sharing screenshots of text messages that reveal allegations Love wrote letters to the network in an effort to get Braxton booted off the show.

The source, whose name was cropped out of the screenshots, even stated someone named Cookie shared the alleged confidential information.

Love then hopped on the ‘Gram to refute the claims, hopping in Braxton’s comments and saying, “Who writes letters? Who sent this? Let’s talk it out. Stop going on every other show. You know you want too.. And bring ya man!!!”

Singer and choreographer Todrick Hall shared his two cents, praying the back and forth ends between the ladies by offering to take away Braxton’s phone before posting.

“Praying this passes soon! I love you and your talent and your personality are so immense. We need to be roommates and take each other’s phones away from each other when we’re about to post something we may regret.”

The Braxton Family Values star responded to Hall:

“... well Lonnie shouldn’t have been stalking me and Wendy today and started this bullshit!! I’ve said NOTHING mean about them nor they dusty a** show!! She should have just left me the f*ck alone!!! It’s too much. I’m tired of her lying and me taking it! NO MORE!!! Everyone who knows me knows I’m not thinking about them and wish them well… they should have sat this one out! Periodt.”

Braxton then shared a second Instagram post officially declining a visit to her former show, with a clip of Ts Madison and Khia insulting Loni Love. She captioned the video with: “Sorry, I only go on shows with ratings, plus you do enough talking about me.”

Love, nor the other ladies of The Real have responded to her recent replies. Hopefully this drama will quickly go back to 2016 where it belongs.
