It’s not unusual for your favorite celebrity to occasionally become starstruck at meeting their own childhood favorites.
Despite the U.S. currently weathering the coronavirus pandemic, Charlotte rap spitter DaBaby didn’t let that stop him from meeting up with the woman of his childhood dreams: Raven-Symoné. Dressed properly in a mask and gloves, the North Carolina MC jumped at the opportunity to connect with the former That’s So Raven star.
The two first linked up during a recent Instagram Live session, spurring their interaction to viral status. In the snippets that surfaced online, DaBaby hilariously shoots his shot at the former Disney star and confesses his childhood feelings. At one point during their conversation, the North Carolina MC even playfully called Raven his “ex-girlfriend.” When she teased him about being friends with his exes, he responded, “Girls be hating me when it’s over with,” per The Shade Room.
It didn’t take long before DaBaby and Raven transitioned their virtual hangout into a meet-up in real life. DaBaby pulled up to her location where he gifted her some ice cream in exchange for hot sauce. The two then popped up back on camera together and DaBaby can be seen sporting a medical face mask. “Reunited, and it feels so good,” he sings as he grabs Raven into a hug. She quickly reminds him that they’re supposed to keep a six feet distance between themselves, but DaBaby can’t help himself. “Watch me catch the corona[virus] ‘cause of this one right here,” Raven said. “Don’t do that. If you go somewhere and catch that, don’t blame that s**t on me,” DaBaby teases, to which Raven hit back, “I’m coming right to you, cuz.”
The Internet is equally mind blown and geeked out over the unexpected interaction. “Bruh, I just watched DaBaby pull up on Raven Symone [with] ice cream on IG Live,” one person tweeted out.
“DaBaby funny asf. That man confessed his love for Raven, bought her snickers ice cream and took them to her all within the hour lmaooo,” a second commented.
